We all know how tough it is: finding a “mountain van” spot at night that’s flat, legal, accessible by van, far from noise, and in a setting worth the detour. In the mountains, it’s even harder. The Stüga van zone is the spot we search for for hours and never seem to find!

Sleep where the adventure begins

Campsites designed for nomadic travelers, nestled among spruce and larch trees at the foot of the Glaisy climbing rock, with the Alps and Mont Blanc as a backdrop. The rest of the campground is there for those who want to get out of their van: a fire pit for the evening, a sauna for tired legs, and a bistro for the morning. And above it all, 250 climbing routes for those who can’t sit still.

Some useful information

An area of 50 to 90 square meters

Each site is designed to offer you space and privacy: plenty of room to set up camp, a picnic table, and a shaded relaxation area.

Up to 6 people

To ensure everyone’s peace and quiet, our campsites are limited to 6 people, including children and infants. You may set up a tent for the children. Feel free to reserve multiple RV sites if there are more of you!

Maximum van size

Double-axle motorhomes and/or those longer than 7 meters are not suitable for our campsites.

The Sauna Experience to Share

Feel free to come and enjoy the sauna, which is open to everyone—a unique wellness experience inspired by the countries of Northern Europe. Read this article to learn more!

No electricity

Our campsites do not have electrical hookups. Be sure to bring lamps and batteries to ensure a relaxing stay.

Only one pet allowed

Pets are welcome, limited to one per campsite.

The Tarentaise region is full of talented small-scale producers—many of whom are organic—whether they make cheese, cured meats, vegetables, or preserves. Our meals feature the very best of these locally sourced products.

After a good night's sleep, no matter what time of the morning it is, it's such a pleasure to know that a delicious breakfast is waiting for you: mountain bread, cake, fruit juice, cheese, cereal, fruit compote…
