The kind of natural campground we love

Some of you may remember it: camping the old-fashioned way—when you’d arrive with your tent and backpack, pick a spot on the grass under the trees, breathe in the scent of the forest and a wood fire at night, and watch the kids build treehouses. That’s exactly what the Stüga campground is—a real campground just the way we like it, right in the heart of the Tarentaise!

A space for everyone so we can be better together

Amid spruce and larch trees, just a stone’s throw from the Rocher du Glaisy, the campsites are spacious. No neighbors too close by, no concrete, no artificial features. The ground is uneven, the trees cast their shadows, and the rock face is right there, close at hand, with its 250 routes waiting for climbers.

Your day in the mountains is all yours. In the evening, everyone gathers at the campsite, around the fire pit or in the sauna, depending on what you feel like doing. The night is truly dark, starry, and silent.

The campground is equipped to accommodate people with limited mobility, and we have accessible campsites. Please feel free to contact us.

Some useful information

An area of 80 to 100 square meters

Each site is designed to offer you space and privacy: plenty of room to set up camp, a picnic table, and a shaded relaxation area.

Two tents and a maximum of 6 people

To ensure everyone’s peace and quiet, our campsites are limited to a maximum of 2 tents and 6 people, including children and infants. Feel free to reserve multiple campsites if there are more of you!

The Sauna Experience to Share

Feel free to come and enjoy the sauna, which is open to everyone—a unique wellness experience inspired by Northern Europe. Read this article to learn more!

No electricity

Our campsites do not have electrical hookups. Be sure to bring lamps and batteries to ensure a relaxing stay.

Only one pet allowed

Pets are welcome, limited to one per campsite.

Car Parking

Carts are available to transport luggage and equipment to your campsite and assist you with this task.

Whether you choose the takeout appetizer basket—featuring craft beers and delicious local products—or the generous tasting platters bursting with the flavors of the Tarentaise, treat yourself any time!

Complete Meals

The Tarentaise region is full of talented small-scale producers—many of whom are organic—whether they make cheese, cured meats, vegetables, or preserves. Our meals feature the very best of these locally sourced products.

Please include this information when you make your reservation and/or at least 2 days before your arrival so we can serve you better.

Local Breakfasts

After a good night's sleep, no matter what time of the morning it is, it's such a pleasure to know that a delicious breakfast is waiting for you: mountain bread, cake, fruit juice, cheese, cereal, fruit compote…
